AN OPEN ARM-FULL !
The Open Arms Spiritual Haven, Thurrock’s newest spiritualist centre opened its doors for the first time on Sunday the 15th June. With a warm and friendly welcome, and top medium Jeanie Jackson delivering her usual trademark happy and loving messages from the spirit world, the Haven was fairly sure to succeed, but even the organisers were amazed when they ran out of chairs for the people queuing to come in !
The Haven is run by spiritualist medium Jay Gage, her husband Tony, and friends Kirsty, Alison and Donna. Although they have all been involved in the movement for some time, this is their first solo venture, and as Jay said “We simply weren’t expecting the demand to be so high ! We welcomed 52 people, far beyond our expectations, and many of them said they would be coming back next week, so we are off to organise more chairs !”
The Haven is a modern spiritualist centre, with the emphasis on alternative and holistic approaches. Each week there will be a different top medium working on the stage, and as Jay says “Being a medium myself, I have been very choosy about those we have booked – our visitors are guaranteed the highest standards of mediumship available in the area”.
Additionally there will be spiritual healing on offer from registered Essex Healers, individual tarot readings, crystal therapy, Indian head massage, Hopi ear candling, crystals and jewellery stalls, and much more. It is the aim of the Haven to provide their visitors with food for thought, as well as free refreshments, and all for £3 !
